Jose Gonzales

Jose Tom Gonzales died suddenly on November 2, 2022. He was born in the Pojoaque Valley. He graduated from PVHS, and then attended Automotive repair school in Denver, CO.

He was drafted into the Army in 1966 and served 6 years. After his service in the Army, he worked as an auto mechanic at Sauter Lincoln-Mercury, then Capitol Ford. He then opened Tom's Auto Repair in Pojoaque and served the people of the community for many years. Thereafter he worked at LANL, and retired from the NM DOT.

Tom loved to help people, he was kind, generous and always put others first, before himself. Tom deeply believed in the Bible's promise of a resurrection to life where the earth will be restored to a paradise.

Tom is survived by his brother, 3 sons, a loving partner, daughters in law, and his grandson.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am on November 20th at the Rivera Funeral Home in Santa Fe.
