Jose I. Jaramillo, 73, of Espanola, NM died on Thursday, November 19, 2009. He is preceded in death by his loving parents Jose I. and Martina Jaramillo, sister Ermina Martinez, brother Jose Frugie Jaramillo, and brother-in-law Jose G. Maestas. Mr. Jaramillo originally from Canjilon was a lifelong parishioner of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church who retired from the City of Espanola as a plumber, he enjoyed fishing and hunting in the beautiful out doors of New Mexico. Mr. Jaramillo is survived by his sisters Celsa Maestas, Locaria Jaramillo, children raised by Mr. Jaramillo; Anthony Jaramillo, Tillie Martinez and Carla Jaramillo, nephews; Anthony Jaramillo and wife Terry, Gerald Jaramillo and wife Susan, John Salvatierra and wife Cindy, Danny Jaramillo and Melvin Jaramillo, nieces; Jeannette Jaramillo and husband Rick, Carla Jaramillo and husband Andrew, Jesusita Jaramillo and husband Paul who cared for him is his final days, Yolanda Salazar and husband Rick, Tillie Martinez and Geneva Marquez, Special friends Orlando Martinez, Patty Padilla and Eloy Gomez as well as many other family members and relatives. Public visitation will take place 1 hour prior -to the recitation of the rosary, which will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 and Sunday, November 22, at 7:00pm at Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m.. Interment will follow at the church cemetery with the following assisting the family as pallbearers; Anthony and Gerald Jaramillo, Andrew Alire, John Salvatierra, Paul and Orlando Martinez, Rick Salazar and Ray Romero. Honorary pallbearers will be Marcos Gordy Jaramillo, Ernesto Sleepy Martinez and Ariana Vigil.
