Jose 'Joe' Sanchez

Joe S. Sanchez, age 76, a resident of Taos, NM passed away peacefully on January 13, 2013. He was born on August 10, 1936 in Placitas, NM to Fermilia Gallegos and Fidencio Sanchez and married Tita Sanchez on February 27, 1954. Joe is preceded in death by his wife Tita Sanchez, father and mother Mr. and Mrs. Fidencio Sanchez, son-in-laws Gene Zamora and David Gonzales, daughter-in-law Tammy Sanchez, granddaughter Maria Elena Sanchez and great granddaughter Analicia Sanchez. He is survived by his daughters Cathy Zamora and Dolores Sanchez, son Armando Sanchez, daughter Yolanda Castillo (Adam), son Eugene Sanchez (Patsy), daughter Joann Rascon (Memo), son Leroy Sanchez (Roberta), sisters Angie Vigil and Lorraine Lujan (Ruben), and brothers Adolfo Sanchez and Fedencio Sanchez (LoLa), 23 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A rosary was recited on January 22, 2013. A funeral mass was celebrated on January 23, 2013. Both services were held at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Ranchos de Taos. Interment followed at the Talpa Cemetery. A reception followed at the Talpa Community Center.
