Jose Lauriano Herrera

Jose Lauriano Herrera 93 a lifelong resident of Chamita went to be with his Lord on Friday November 20, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife Delfinia Herrera, and his parents, the late Melquiades and Andrellita Herrera. He retired from The Zia Corporation in Los Alamos after 30 years of service. He is survived by his son Floyd Herrera and wife Sara of Chamita, grandchildren; Rose Figueroa and husband Jose of Chamita, Lupe Urban and husband Cruz of Houston, Tx., Frances Herrera and companion Servando Torres, and Mauricio Herrera and wife Tomasita all of Chamita, 16 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren, sister in law Margaret Archuleta of San Juan, brother in law Amarante Montoya, Jr. and wife Inez of Albuquerque, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Recitation of the rosary will be held on Monday November 23rd at 7:00 pm. at Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola, the mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 am. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at Ohkay Owingeh, with interment to follow at San Pedro Cemetery in Chamita.
