Jose Montoya

Jose Ignacio Montoya “Nacho” 89, of Embudo, New Mexico passed away on March 28, 2021 due to natural causes. Jose was born on September 09, 1931 in Dixon, New Mexico to Amado Montoya and Silviana Garcia.

Preceded in death by his parents Amado Montoya, and Sylviana Garcia, sisters Jenny Montoya, Stella Medina, and brother Juan Montoya.

Survived by sons Richard Montoya, Michael Montoya, brothers Jose Arnedo Montoya “Kiko”, Amado Eli Montoya, sisters Lorraine Sanchez, and Melinda Ida Gallegos, grandson Ricky Montoya, granddaughters Melissa Hegge, Jenifer Montoya, and Kim Montoya, great grand children Kaleb, Rosalee, Owen, Christen, Avery, Emma, Jaden, and Mason.

Military Service: PFC Jose I Montoya US 54 070 736 Army of the United States.

Public viewing will be held on Tuesday April 06, 2021 at Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola, NM 10AM-12 Noon. On Wednesday April 07, 2021 friends and family are welcome to spend time in the chapel of Rivera Family Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Wednesday April 07, 2021 at 12:45 PM.
