Josepha Cruz

Josepha Cruz, 83, of Taos passed away on September 19, 2015. She retired after many years of banking from First State Bank. She was appointed as one of four Commissioners and was Chairman of the Taos Planning And Zoning Commission for two terms. She is preceded in death by her husband, Tomas Cruz, son, George Santistevan, parents, Flavio and Delia Avila and brother, Floyd Avila. She is survived by her granddaughter, Desiree Barton and her husband, Rodger, great granddaughter, Nicole Barton, sister, Rose Johnson, many other relatives and friends. Rosary was recited on September 23, 2015 at Rivera Chapel. Funeral mass was held on September 24, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment was held on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Arrangements by Rivera Family Funeral Home.
