Joseph "Ben" War Sr.

Joseph “BEN” War Sr. a resident of La Puebla, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at his side. Ben was a kind man with a big heart, his wife, children and grandchildren were his world, there was never a day he could be without his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Joe L. War and Maria Emma King, Sister Carla War, father in law Everisto Quintana, mother in law Maida Quintana, and best friend Lynette Lucero. Survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jeanette War, children Joseph Ben War Jr. (Annaliza), April Martinez (Charles), Johnathen War (Alexandra), Tracey War-Gallegos (Henry), Victor Lopez (Pauline), grandchildren Victoria, Shaylene, AJ, Nicole, Ashlyn, Issac, Felicia, Elijah, Joseph III, Annalee, Madalynn, Desiree and CJ. Sisters Emily Arzabala (Arturo), Josie Martinez (Jimmy), best and good friends Alvin Martinez and Gene Maes, numerous family and friends. Serving as Pallbearers: Frankie Quintana, Victor Morales, Jimmy Herrera, Ed Garcia, Paul Saiz, Antonio Martinez, Antonio Alberto, Sidney Quintana, Andrew Paul Saiz. Honorary Pallbearers: Alvin Martinez and Gene Maes. The rosary will be recited on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Rivera Family Kiva Chapel at 7:00pm. The mass will be held at St Anne’s Catholic Church on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 9:00am. The burial to follow at Rosario Cemetery.
