Joseph Dominguez

Joseph Robert Dominguez was born in Las Vegas New Mexico to Helen Ortiz and Joseph R. Dominguez on September 24, 1951.  He was received by our Heavenly Father on May 3, 2022. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Richard Dominguez. 

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Angela P. Miller, his sisters Anna Anaya (Manny), Mary Jane Gonzalez, his daughter, Deanza Dominguez; son, Richard J. Dominguez (Caroline).  Step-children; John Miller (Valerie), Danette Miller (Orlando), George Miller (Carmela), Michael Miller (Angela).  Grand-children; Elias & Estevan Dominguez, Lucas, Johnny, Adam, Renee, Sebastian, Michael Jr. Great Grand-Children; Grayson Wolf, Ezra Bear, Amariah Danielle “Ami”. Nieces & nephews; Christopher Anaya (Alisha) Dawn Schmalz (Seth) , Robert Anaya (Valeria), Melissa Blaylock (Colton), and many more great-nieces and nephews.

Robert retired after 27 years from the State of New Mexico as a financial specialist.  For 40 years he was the “music man” for the Spanish dance group Bailé Español. He lovingly referred to the dancers as “beautiful roses” and took the utmost pleasure in providing the music for the group. One of his greatest joys was caring for his grandchildren.  He always had a story for every occasion. His sense of humor not only funny but corny, sarcastic and he was always good for a bad “dad” joke. He always had advice for any situation. Above anything else he was respectful and very kind.

The family would like to thank Dr. Lyle Amer and Dr.Scott Herbert and the nursing staff at Christis St. Vincents Hospital for their kind and compassionate care for our beloved Robert.

A Catholic Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 13th, 12 noon at Rivera Family Funeral Home, 417 East Rodeo Rd, Santa Fe, NM  87505
