Joseph Gurule

Joseph Gil Gurule, 70, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away on November 4, 2023.

Joe was born to Modesto and Rita Gurule on December 31, 1952.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Teri Sena, father Modesto Gurule, and brother Modie Gurule Jr.

He is survived by his son Joe Gurule, daughter-in-law Melissa, mother Rita Gurule, brother Robert Gurule, sister-in-law Terri, sister-in-law Gloria, many nieces and nephews, and many life-long friends/brothers including Anthony Lujan, Dwayne Lujan, and John “Ed” Vigil.

Joe loved spending free time hunting and fishing, going to Denver Broncos games, and socializing with his friends at Second St Brewery.  In his younger years, Joe enjoyed playing softball, golf, camping, and going to watch drag races.  Joe retired from the Highway Department at the State of New Mexico after 25 years of service. 

He was loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Services will be private.
