JOSEPHINA MARTINEZ - Age 91 passed away peacefully on October 12, 2005. She was born in Chimayo on September 27, 1914 and was a lifelong resident. She was preceded in death by her husband Cirilo D. Martinez, her son, Johnny Martinez and her daughter, Lorraine Martinez when she was 4. She is survived by her children: Amador Martinez and wife Marie of California, Clorita Trujillo and husband Samuel of California, Elizario Martinez and wife Pat of Chimayo, Rosendo Martinez of Albuquerque and Sam Martinez and wife Priscilla of Bernalillo; 21 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends Public visitation will be held on Friday, October 14, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the El Buen Pastor Church in Ranchitos with pastor Danny Espinoza officiating. Interment will follow at the Assembly of God Cemetery in Chimayo with the following serving as pallbearers: Jonathan Martinez, Michelle Rendon, Amador Martinez Jr., Roy Martinez, Bobby DeVargas and Ben Espinoza. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Missy Avila, Gino Martinez, Michael Espinoza, Andy DeVargas and Gabriel and Michael Martinez.
