Josephine G. Mascarenas

Josephine G. Mascareñas – Age 67 a resident of Española passed away on Sunday, October 8th, 2006. She was preceded in death by her parents: Alex and Josephine Gallegos; grandson, Eric Vigil; brother, Sam Gallegos; and sisters: Rose Gallegos and Bernie Martinez. May their souls rest in peace. She is survived by her husband, Sostenes Mascareñas of Española; step-children: Harold Mascareñas and wife Maria of El Guique, Peter Mascareñas and wife Frances of Chamita, Lorraine Sisneros of Las Vegas, NM, Mark Mascareñas and wife Esther of El Guique, Carmela Martinez and companion Gilbert Ulibarri of Las Vegas, NM, and Barbara Vigil of Chamita; sisters: Charlotte Martinez and Husband Cipriano and Valentina Chacon and husband Alfonso all of Alcalde; brothers: Alex Gallegos Jr. and John Allen Gallegos and wife Florence all of Alcalde; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Monday, October 9th, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary. Celebration of the Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 10th, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo.
