Joseph Martinez

On Sunday September 3, 2023 Joseph “JoJo” Christopher Martinez, was called home to be with our beloved father, Jesus Christ at the age of 31. Joseph was born and raised mostly in Espanola.  Joseph loved spending time with family and friends hunting, fishing, and making memories. He is best known for his talent and creativity, his infectious smile and contagious laugh, his kindness and compassionate heart. He was a passionate artist, creating extraordinary paintings and music, among many other hobbies.

Joseph is survived by his mother Tasha Valles (Gerald), and Ella, his companion Denise and daughters Kira and Kiana. Siblings Tina (Katrina), Gabrielle (Tim), Stephanie (Liam), Christina (Zion), Sherry (Jacob), and Cheryl (Chris), Ricky, Anthony Jr., and Alex. Grandparents Valentina (George), Arthur, Juanita, Beverly (Joe), Patrick. Aunts and uncles Amanda (Jose), Julian, Donna, Sam (Christina). Nieces and nephews Malachi and sister, Laviana, Aiden, Justice, Zaidyn, Xavien. Close cousins Luis, Cornelio, Giovanna, Nathias, Serena, Shyrah, Morino, and Crystal along with many other loving cousins and friends. Joseph was preceded in death by his father Joe Martinez, and Christopher. Grandfathers Howard and Bert, Uncles Chris and Emilio.

A Rosary will be held at Rivera Funeral Home on Sunday September 10, 2023 at 6:00pm. A Memorial Service will be held at New Creation in Christ Ministries on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 10:00am followed by a Burial at the San Pedro Cemetery in Chamita N.M.
