Joseph Richard Montoya

Joseph Richard Montoya, 72, entered into eternal peace on Friday, January 20, 2017. Joe was born on February 10, 1944, the son of the late Joaquin and Lourdes Montoya. He is also preceded in death by his beloved wife Candy Montoya, brothers Raymond Montoya and Jake Montoya and sisters Dolores Gonzales, Anna Mea Garcia and Liz Ashbaugh. Joe is survived by four children: Anthony Montoya and wife Sandra; Jeff Montoya and wife Marlene; Sandra Montoya and Karen Montoya; Sisters, Rosella Hinojoza and Diana Montoya; and Brother, Sammy Montoya and wife Norma; 12 Grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Public Visitation will be held on Friday January 27, 2017 at 2:00pm at Rivera Family Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 3:00pm. A celebration of his life will be held at the American Legion Post located at 1601 Berry Ave., Santa Fe beginning at 5:00pm.
