Joseph Salazar also known as "Mosco" – 40; a resident of La Mesilla passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2006, at the Espanola Hospital, following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by a loving sister, Jennifer Diane Salazar in 1998, his Paternal grandparents Joe I. & Ramoncita Salazar of Youngsville; Uncles; Roy Romero and Leroy Salazar, both of Espanola; Godmother, Isabel Montoya of Santa Fe, Maternal grandparents Bernardino & Juanita Herrera formally of Nambe, Uncles and Aunts; Tony Montoya of El Rancho, Alfonso Herrera of Santa Fe, and Genievive Baca of Albuquerque, and a Cousin; Patricia Ulibarri of El Rancho. He is survived by his parents; Eloy & Mary Lou Salazar of the home; his brothers and sisters; Carol Anne Salazar of Espanola, James Salazar & wife Jennie of San Juan, and Noelle Maestas and husband Brian of Hernandez, his girlfriend Davina Peraglio and her son Martine of La Mesilla, nieces and nephews; Crystal & fiancé, Carlos & son, Christopher Lopez, Kimberly, Jamie, & Isaiah Salazar, Brianna & Katelyn Maestas, Godparent; Carlos Montoya of Santa Fe, Maternal aunts and uncles; Viola Herrera, Sam Herrera, Michele C de Baca, Evelyn and Tate Hall, Gloria & Miguel Trujillo, Joanne Herrera, and Frank & Aggie Herrera all of Santa Fe, Agnes Montoya of El Rancho, Pete Baca of Albuquerque, Edmund & Betty Herrera of Los Lunas, Olivia & Johnny Roybal of Jacona, Ben & Frances Herrera of Nambe, Paternal aunts and uncles; Napoleon & Helen Salazar, Junior & Isabel Salazar, Lucy & Loren Abercrombie all of Hernandez, Julia & Archie Jaramillo of Abiquiu, Betty & Leroy Duran of El Rancho, John Alex & Mabel Salazar, Judy & Leroy Martinez all of La Mesilla, Carol Salazar, Mary & Bennie Serrano, Teresa Romero, Danny & Claudine Salazar, all of Espanola, Raymond & Therese Salazar of Belen and Annette & Kevin Joseph of Colorado, numerous cousins and many other relatives and friends. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy to be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 31, 2006, at Block-Salazar Mortuary. Rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2006, at Block-Salazar Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 2, 2006, at Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada. Interment will follow at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery in Espanola. Serving as pallbearers will be; Chris Montoya, Marshal Fresquez, Danny Romero, Glen Vigil, Mike Baros, Sammy Herrera, Jerry Salazar, and George Valdez.
