Joseph Sena

d. November 17, 2007

Joe "Cub" Sena May 15, 1948-November 17, 2007 Our beloved brother and friend, was called home to be with our Lord. Joe was a brother, mentor and like a father to many of his nieces and nephews. Above all he was a true friend. He loved his family and was involved whenever there was a need in the lives of all who he knew. He was an individual who enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved animals, especially his dog "Bo" who was his best friend and companion. He was an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying horse back riding, hiking, skiing, biking and simply taking a walk with "Bo". And then there was music, a love which led to his status as an impeccable dancer. Joe was a dynamic person that touched many lives and who had many friends. He was always there during their times of need and support. He enjoyed going to the plaza with his dog "Bo", visiting with everyone in the community. His passion for helping the less fortunate was a second nature to Joe, spending many holidays feeding the homeless. Joe was a man of many trades during his lifetime but his true love was for the arts. Most of his career was consumed with wood and tin work, in which his talents for not only creating an original design, but for also making it with his bare hands, was surpassed by few. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sofia O. Sena and Ramon "Tules" Sena Sr., Brother Manuel G. Sena and Sister Priscilla "Pia" Sena. He is survived by his friend Richard Fisher, siblings; Ramon Sena and wife Pat, Sophie Leyba, Gertrude Lucero and husband Pablo, Tony Sena and wife Sharon, Juanita Baca and husband Max, Sister in law Prescilla Sena; Brother in law, David Leyba Sr., Godson, JoJo Sena, Nephew, Rick Sena, and Niece Lydia Leyba, that were raised with the immediate family, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and extended family. A memorial service will be held on Friday November 23, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at Christian Life Fellowship Church, 121 E. Siringo Rd. Santa Fe, NM. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers for Joe and the whole family during this difficult period. Services are entrusted to The Rivera Family of Santa Fe Funeral Options & Memorial Gardens. (505) 989-7032 www.santafefuneraloption.com
