Joseph Vigil

1961 — November 15, 2021

Joseph R. Vigil, age 60 of Taos, NM residing in Albuquerque, NM passed away on November 15, 2021. He was a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps from 1979 to 1982. He pursued a career in accounting and worked for Cardinal Health retiring in 2010. He had a passion for classic cars and mechanics.  He was very strong in his Catholic faith. He was active in various ministries within the church as well as a participant in several bible study groups. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He fought the good fight while here on earth, but now his race is finished and he kept the faith. Now there is laid up for him the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to him on that Day (2 Timothy 4:7-8)

He is preceded in death by his mother Otelia Vigil and brother Frank Vigil. He is survived by his father Reggie Vigil, sisters Barbara Coca (Dennis), Darlene Salazar (Tim), brother David Vigil (Gina), God sons Brian Salazar, Marcos Vigil and nieces and nephews.

Services are Thursday December 2, 2021 at Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Church in Albuquerque, NM. The rosary will be at 10:15am followed by the mass at 11:00am. The internment will be on December 3, 2021 at Veterans Memorial in Angel Fire, New Mexico.  Arrangements by Rivera Family Funeral Home.
