Jose Salomon Struck, 83, of Taos passed away on August 16, 2005. He was an Army veteran of WWII who served in Europe and was the recipient of two purple hearts for wounds received in combat. He was a longtime Taos school teacher of 9th grade Civics. He was an elder of Taos First Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Theodora Struck, children, Charlene Labadie (Gilbert) of Taos, Sylvia Roybal (Sylvian) and Barbara Larsen all of Denver, CO, Debbie Struck of Taos, Jeanie Sena of Denver, CO and Jessica Bliven (Matthew) of Albuquerque. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
Evening service was held on August 17, 2005 at 7 PM at Rivera Chapel. Funeral service was held on August 18, 2005 at First Presbyterian Church interment followed at at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
