Jose Levi Sandoval, resident of El Rancho, New Mexico passed away on November 23, 2020. Levi was born on September 15, 1938 in El Rancho New Mexico to Ramon and Teresita Sandoval. He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Juan Tafoya, brother Gene Sandoval, niece Denise Rivera, sister-in-law Cecilia Olivas, father and mother-in-law Tony E. and Minnie Quintana.
Levi graduated from Pojoaque High School in 1957 and began his career in banking eventually retiring from the State of New Mexico. He married the love of his life, Patsy Sandoval A.K.A. “freckles”, September 7, 1963. Together, Levi and Patsy had three children.
Levi enjoyed making people laugh. He loved the outdoors and doing things like gardening, fishing, camping, and hunting, but those things were even better with family. He also loved his animals dearly, raising many farm animals and paying special attention to his dogs. To many, Levi was better known as “Pa” gaining the name from his first granddaughter and the name stuck ever since. Pa loved to see his great grandchildren, and would always give them whatever money he had in his pocket, whether it be a quarter or even dollars. Although he loved the outdoors, he made sure to watch the news regularly. To Levi, a trip to Harbor Freight was like going to Disneyland. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren dearly.
Levi leaves behind many family and friends; his beloved wife Patsy Sandoval, Sister Elda (Mike) Childers, sister-in-law Helen Sandoval, brothers-in-law Leroy Quintana, Bobby Quintana (Phyllis), and Frank Olivas, daughter Michelle Duran and husband Bruce Duran, and daughter Felicia Sandoval and Fiancé Abran Olguin, son Ray Sandoval and wife Sarah Sandoval, grandchildren Stephanie Brenan (Ryan Brenan), Chris Duran, Miranda Lujan (Raul Lujan), Cassandra Duran, Dominic Anaya-Sandoval, Joshua Duran, Raymond Sandoval, Gabriel Duran, great grandchildren Chloe Brenan, Leilani Lujan, Auria Duran, Theo Brenan, Carter Sandoval, and Raphael Lujan, godson Troy Childers and special friend, Robert Garcia.
