Jose Esequias Vigil, 85 of San Cristobal, passed away on July 8, 2023. Jose served his country for 30 years in the Marine Corp and retired with the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant. Jose also retired from the Taos County Sheriff’s department where he served as a dispatcher/jailor
Jose was preceded in death by his daughter, Josette Vigil, mother, Luisa Cordova and father in law, Hipolito Cordova.
Jose is survived by his wife, Ernestina Vigil, children, Jesus “Rick” Vigil (Nadine) and Michael “Spinner” Vigil (Kathy), grandchildren, Tanya Sena (David), Miguel Vigil (Ann), Marla Vigil (Brian), Esperanza Vigil (Thomas), great grandchildren, Marissa Vigil (Juan), Michael Vigil, Chantel Brumfield (Nathaniel), Dominic Brumfield, D’Angelo Maul and De’Andre Maul, one great great grandchild, Levi Antonio Vigil and many nephews, nieces and family members whom he loved dearly.
Rosary will be recited on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 9 AM with Funeral Mass at 10 AM at Holy Trinity in Arroyo Seco with interment to follow at the San Cristobal Cemetery
