Born August 13, 1940, at 5:55 a.m., arriving at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe, beloved daughter of L.W.“Speed” Simmons and Marcelle Rose Louise Deutsch of Pecos, New Mexico. Six years later her brother Bill was born, and Joyce accepted him warily after the adoption of a wire haired fox terrier as compensation. She wanted him left with the nuns, but they wouldn’t keep him. She loved him dearly after that.Hello to all my friends, and to my enemies as well, for those of you sitting around picking lint from yourknees and hair from your elbows. Let the bird’s song you hear first thing in the morning sing you into a beautiful day. Up where the eagle soars, let there be peace and strength. Let the sunbeams that warm your heart warm you all day long. May the thunder and lightning remind you that God and His son Jesus command all. Celebrations are in order as I climb my final tree, splinters and all. I am not gone, I am in the next room. Call me by my name. When you read this, these are my words and I am on my Final Journey.
My wishes for the best go on to each of you; my darling kidlet daughter Cecilia Joyce Prince, my one and only brother Bill, my beautiful sister-in-law Nancy, my niece Dana and husband Stephen, andmy great nephew Alec Liam Hardy; my nephew Kenneth, my nieces Veree and Kimberly and their families, and our surrogate sister Eleanore.May the Lord’s peace shine upon thee and give thee peace. Please be assured that my spirit will peek in on yours, occasionally. I have lived a great big wonderful, special life. For you, I bless you with the same. It’s night, hence to bed,
God bless. The white owl carries your message.JoyceMy thanks to Ambercare, EGIS, Home Instead, Dr. Rosen and Dr. Bowen.See you at my Memorial, with details to follow.
