Juan Eloy Aragon Jr.

Juan E. “Changa” Aragon Jr. passed away peacefully on February 14, 2023, surrounded by his family. Juan is preceded in death by his parents, Juan E. Aragon, Sr. & Prsilliana Aragon; his brothers, Tom Aragon, Manual Aragon, and Robert Aragon, and his nephew Andrew Baca. Juan is survived by his son, John Aragon (spouse Gilbert), his daughter Diana Aragon; his siblings, Triny Aragon (spouse Lupe), Rose Munoz (spouse Juan), Helen Fink (spouse Bob), Isabelle Montoya, and Art Aragon; grandchildren, John Aragon, Thomas Aragon (spouse Caylee), Jose Mendez, Marcos Mendez, and Alex Villalobos (spouse Deondria); great grandkids, Thomas Trujillo, Analise Aragon, and Cordero “CJ” Aragon, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Juan was born December 3, 1948, in Santa Fe New Mexico. Juan was the All-Star player at St. Mike's High School for baseball, basketball, and football. Juan graduated in 1968 and enlisted in the army at the age of 18, where he served in the Vietnam War from 1968-1971. He returned after his father passed away. Juan worked for New Mexico Game and Fish as well as the Parks and Recreation Department for the City of Santa Fe. Anyone who knew Juan knew he really loved his sports. In his free time, he used to be a referee and umpire. He was loved by his family and friends and will be missed dearly.
A public viewing and rosary for Juan will be held February 27, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the Rivera Funeral Home in Santa Fe and reception with food to follow. A private burial will be at a later date. The family would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of support during this difficult time.
