Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Ps 116:15.
Juan Felimon Pacheco went to join his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 12, 2013. Juan was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He lived a complete and happy life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leopoldo and Emilia Pacheco and daughter Emily Pacheco. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Amalia Pacheco, seven children, Gilbert Pacheco (Dolores), Tomascita Pacheco, Josephine Jaramillo (Joseph), Nancy Newton (Phillip), Esther Almaguer (Ray), Casandra Martinez (Sam) and Leo Pacheco (Berna), 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He served his country in World War II and was a member of the VFW for many years. Juan worked for the Arrow Gas Company for 30 years. He leaves a lasting legacy to his family, church and community. His life was filled with love and service to the Lord. He served as deacon, church treasurer and Sunday School Teacher at Taos Spanish Baptist Church as well as church council leader at the Taos Four Square Church.
He will be greatly missed by those who shared his joy for life and his sense of humor. Dad, we all look forward to our reunion with you in heaven.
Public visitation was held on January 15, 2013 at Rivera Chapel. Funeral Service was held on January 16, 2013 at Taos Foursquare Church in Taos. Interment was held on January 17, 2013 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
