Juanita A. Montoya

MONTOYA, Juanita, age 89, formerly of Santa Fe, passed on August 10, 2021 after a valiant struggle with Parkinson Disease. Juanita was surrounded by her family as she passed away peacefully. She was preceded in death by her parents Eduardo and Servana Montoya, her brothers Ed Montoya Jr., Faustin (Huero) Montoya and her sister Virginia Montoya Mays. She is survived by her sister Katherine Padilla and several nieces, nephews and God-children, cousins and friends. Juanita worked with several of the Catholic Churches as a religious education instructor in various states and especially in Santa Fe, NM. She was a kind and generous person and would help anyone that needed her. She worked with ladies in women’s groups that were very close to her and considered family. She encouraged her family to travel and see the world as she had. The family invites you to Juanita’s services as follows: on September 14, 2021 10:00am Rosary, Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00am at San Isidro. There will be a gathering at the Herb Martinez Park at 2:00 pm. Please wear masks and bring your own chair.
