Juan Pablo Goose Martinez, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 19, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Esequiel and Siria Martinez, great grandsons, Angelo Benavidez, Airk, Aiden, Angelo and Joshua Vigil, brothers, Tom, Willy, Ralph and Manuel Martinez, sisters, Rufina Coca, Hilaria Gonzales, Ernestina Ortega, son-in laws, Robert Benavidez and David R. Vigil, sisters in law, Eloida and Marina Martinez and Margarita Anaya. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Madalena Martinez, children, Charlene Benavidez, Christine Vargas (George), Catherine Vigil, Lawrence Martinez (June), Joe Martinez, Carmela Martinez (Ben), Adrian Martinez (Pacifica), 27 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, sister, Dolores Trujillo and sister-in-law, Tillie Martinez, very special nephew and niece, Rolando and Augustina Martinez and many other relatives and friends. Rosary was recited on February 23, 2014. Funeral mass was held on February 24, 2014. Both were held at San Francisco de Asis Church with interment following at the San Francisco Cemetery.
