Julia Jaramillo, 94, of Taos was born on December 18, 1922 and passed away on September 20, 2017. She was a 40-year retired school teacher and musician. She is preceded in death by her parents, Julian D. Jaramillo and Francisquita Montano Jaramillo, sister, Margaret J. Mascarenas (husband Daniel), son-in-law, Orlando B. Cordova, nephews, Mike and Toby Mascarenas. She is survived by her son, Frank Jaramillo (Rose Pacheco), daughters, Juanita J. Cordova and Gabrielita M. Jaramillo, grandchildren, Juan Jaramillo (Tina Chavez Jaramillo), Pablo Cordova (Amy Ortiz), Julia Ann Johnson Jaramillo and Jacob Pacheco (Yvette), great-grandchildren, Sky, Gage, Sophia, Bronson Ortiz, Pablo Cordova Jr., Alyssa, Raylyn and Santino Jaramillo, Isaiah Martinez and Joclyn Chavez, brother, Julian Jaramillo (Lourdes), nephews and nieces, Julian Jaramillo Jr., Paul Jaramillo (Christine), Rosemary Jaramillo Cortez (James) and Danny, Bobby Jaramillo (Maryanne), Mary Ramos and family, special niece, Vivian Esquibel, who has been taking care of her for 3 years and her family, Bobby, Jessica and Matthew. Special thanks to Pauline Ambrose, Priscilla Romo and Lillian Espinoza for their caretaking of our mom.
Rosary was recited on September 28, 2017. Funeral mass was held on September 29, 2017. Both services were held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with interment following at the Las Cruces Cemetery.
