Julian Romo was born in Ranchos de Taos on August 5, 1934. He left us on the morning of October 13, 2016; and is in heaven with his loving wife of 55 years, Andrea and daughter Veronica M. Romo. One of 7 children, he was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and patriarch of the Romo Family. Julian worked for George Frank Contracting, Moly Corp and Espanola Transit. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eduardo and Margarita Romo, wife of 55 years, Andrea Romo, daughter, Veronica M. Romo, brothers and sisters, Bonnie Cortez (Jose L.), Albert Romo (Lucia), Olivia Lucero, Rose Garcia (Bernie), Nelson and Manuela Romo, in-laws, Jose Herman and Rafaelita Lujan and brother in law, Dalio Eloy Lujan. He is survived by his daughter, Vickie Martinez (Danny), son, Julian Romo Jr., granddaughters, Natalie Evans (Jon), Stacey Romo (Jazmin), grandson, Paul Romo (Erin), great-grandchildren, Jade A. Evans, Jonathan C. Evans, Adalyn G. Romo and Shuniqua Gurule, special friend, Alice Cardenas, niece like a sister, Maida Vigil, in-laws, Dan Lujan (Carmen), Jose D. “Mote” Lujan (Lorraine), Ernest “Chi” Lujan (Mary), Martha Lujan, many nephews, nieces, friends, neighbors and miners that called him “Urraca”.
Rosary will be recited on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 7 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
