Katherine Romero

Katherine G. Romero (Kathy or Kat) April 17, 1962 ~ July 27, 2008 Passed away peacefully early Sunday, July 27, 2008, surrounded by family and friends. Katherine was born to Staff Sgt. Gregory and Libby Romero in Aberdeen, Maryland. In 1969, Sgt. Romero died while serving in the U.S. Army. Libby and her children moved to Santa Fe, where she had family. Kathy graduated from Santa Fe High School, attended T.V.I. in Albuquerque, S.F.C.C. in Santa Fe, and Bryman College in San Jose, California. She worked caring for various private patients with V.N.S. in Santa Fe, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Santa Fe, and at Kaiser Hospital in San Jose, California. Kathy is preceded in death by her father; Gregory Romero, sister; Kelly Romero, stepfather; Jose P. Gonzales, and grandmother Eppie Benavidez. She is survived by her mother; Libby Gonzales, son; Kennith Sisneros, sisters; Mary Fowler, and Theresa Romero and Joe Cano, brothers; Kelvin Romero, and Manuel Gonzales and wife Angela, nieces; Andrea Fowler, Cherise Gonzales, Denisha Quintana, and Sara Cano, nephews; Edward Fowler and girlfriend Deborah, Justin Romero, Jermey Quintana, Joey Cano, and Marty Apodaca, cousins; Louie, wife Cecilia Chavez with daughter Mariah and Margie Chavez, aunts; Anita Chavez and Minnie Chavez with husband Clyde. Special Thanks to Rita Sandoval and Tanya Rodriguez for their loving care. A Rosary will be recited Friday, August 1, 2008 at 7:00pm at the Holy Cross church in Santa Cruz.
