Kenneth Lloyd Graves Jr, 47 resident of Santa Fe, NM passed away on July 13, 2018 in a battle with colon cancer.
He was born on July 8, 1971 in Las Cruces, NM to Juanita Stern and Kenneth L. Graves Sr.
Kenneth married Judie Dominguez on January 1, 2015 in Santa Fe, NM.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather: Donald Kenneth Graves, grandmother: Lucy Elvira Crosswhite Graves, cousin: Silas Joe Glines (Pepe Joe), grandmother: Hellen Lind Harper and grandfather: Henry Harper.
Kenneth is survived by his wife: Judie Dominguez from Silver City, NM, father: Kenneth L. Graves Sr., mother Juanita Stern, stepfather: Robert Stern, son: Bobby Kelly and his wife Tami, grandson: Ruben Kelly, sister: Angela Graves, niece: Leala Martinez, nephew: Marcos Martinez, aunt: Phyllis Glines, uncle: Gene Graves from T or C, NM and many dear cousins.
Kenny was an avid motorcycle rider and enjoyed riding with friends every chance he had, especially his best friend Pat and stepdad Bob. He also participated in events with the Legion Riders such as the “Run For The Wall” remembering Vietnam Vets. He believed in helping the Community and was involved with Habitat for Humanity, motorcycle Toy Runs and memorials. Kenny was a member of the Local 412 Union Plumbers and Pipefitters for over 25 years, and owned and operated Pichacho M-E Inc. for 10 years with his father and sister. Kenny believed in the value of education and received his Associates degree in Construction Management from CNM in 2016. He then had the opportunity to give back to the trades and teach at CNM, which he considered to be his legacy and part of his family.
Kenny’s mom always said he was the best man she ever knew and was gratefull when Kenny met the love of his life, Judie. They shared a love of nature and hiking in the Gila and the Sangre De Cristo’s with their fur babies Ko Ko & Mogie for 12 years.
The Honor of the Last Ride will be a given to Pat Durr to and will be accompanied by Bob Stern.
Public Viewing will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Kiva Chapel of Light located at 417 East Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM with a Service to follow at 4:00 p.m.
Reception and Food at 6:00 p.m. at Pecos Trail Café in Santa Fe, NM.
