Kimberly Frances Garcia was born on June 28, 1978 and passed away peacefully on Mother’s Day on May 12, 2024.

She is preceded in death by her mother Ethel Vigil and father Timothy Garcia, great uncles Frank Tafoya, and Robert Tafoya-Rush, sister Jennifer Garcia, brother Al Garcia, uncle Alan “Chops” Tafoya, and God brother Alan “Burger” Abeyta.

She is survived by her sisters Angie M. Naranjo (Jerome), Ginger Phillips, Julie Vigil, her Pops Joe Vigil, nephews Lucas Willow, Darren Phillips, nieces Sydney Phillips, Camille Tapia (Orion and Nyla), Evan Vigil, Ramona and Reynal Martinez, special friend Vangie Gutierrez, great aunt Rosalie Tafoya, and sister-cousin Clarissa Tafoya-Roller.

Kimberly was an accomplished artist in several mediums, including Santa Clara Pueblo Pottery, ceramics, paintings, and tattooing. She held on to her traditional tribal beliefs as a source of strength during her illness. She dearly loved and doted on her nephew Reynal Martinez “Tsika Mu” (Tsika as she lovingly called him).

Funeral arrangements are as follows, Rosary at 6:00 pm at Ginger Phillips residence South Yucca Street. Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 8:00 am at the San Juan Bautista Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the San Juan Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Darren Phillips, Tyler Roller, Lucas Willow, Angelo Tafoya, Kenneth Tafoya, Jerome Naranjo, Darron Garcia, and Butter Garcia.
