Kimberly Ann Tucker, 46, of Lancaster, California passed away suddenly December 27, 2021 in Santa Fe, NM. Services will be held in Amarillo, TX at a later date. Kim was born June 7, 1975 to Gary and Helen Tucker in Amarillo,TX. She graduated with honors from Amarillo High where she was a proud member of the Golden Sandies band and excelled in soccer.She received a Bachelor of Science in Aero Space engineering from Texas A&M. Kim had not yet completed her Masters degree from Embry-Riddle University. She was employed by the Department of Defense for 17 years as a structures engineer on the F-22 and F-35 Lightning where she received recognition and awards for her hard work and dedication. She recently accepted a position with NASA as the Project Engineer at the Neil Armstrong Flight Research Center, Edwards Air Force. Kim had a feisty wit, wicked smarts and a fabulous laugh! She loved travel, adventure, sports, all things flight, her family and friends and Texas A&M. She was a member of the Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, various A&M and service organizations.

She is survived by her parents, Gary & Helen Tucker of Angel Fire, NM; brother, Bryan Tucker & wife Charleine Maisonneuve, special niece Zoe & nephew Dean, Uncles Don Tucker, John Wilke (C.J. Wilke) and George Wilke. Aunt Agnes McKenzie (Jim McKenzie) cousins, friends and her Aggie family.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, special Aunt Sharon Tucker, Uncle Bobby Tucker, Aunt Betty Tucker, Uncle Jim Wilke, Aunt Tootie McNees and Uncle Ken McNees, Aunt Karen Wilke and many cousins.  The family suggests memorials to Texas A&M, College Station in support of Engineering students where a fund will be established in her honor in a few weeks.  Arrangements by Rivera Family Funeral Home.
