Lalo Leo Lopez Went home to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 84 on August 6, 2023. Lalo was born on April 27, 1939, in Santa Fe, NM to Tonita Mora and Miguel Lopez and was the eldest of nine children, Lourdes Quintana, Leroy Lopez (Mary Alice), Grace Mares (Rudy), Richard Lopez (Cathy), Michael Lopez (Ellie), Mary Baker (Tom), Evelyn Zamora (Benny), and Paul Lopez. 64 years ago, Lalo married the love of his life, Angie Archuleta on August 22, 1959. Together they have four children, Frank Lopez, Pamela Mier, Robert Mier, Dorothy Dominguez (Tom), and Nathaniel “Tano” Lopez. Blessed with 10 beautiful grandchildren, Matthew & Monica Lopez, Joshua Mier (Taren), Brittany Baca (Arcenio), Joel Mier, Jacquelyn & Tiara Harvey, Danielle Dominguez, Jeremy Dominguez (Ashley), and Jared Dominguez (Alazae). Along with 10 grandchildren, they have 9 great-grandchildren. Lia, Caris, Mackenzie, & Aria Mier, Rafael & Amaya Baca, Kalani Dominguez-Medina, and Jeriah & Aylah Dominguez. Lalo started working at the age of 16 years old at La Fonda Hotel and worked there for 20 years. Later on, he went onto work at PNM Gas Company where he remained for the next 24 years and retired in 1998. He was a devout Christian who always put his love for the Lord first in his life along with his family. Not only did he cherish his family, but he was also a hardworking man who loved fishing, hunting, and camping. Lalo was very creative with his hands, in his free time he enjoyed welding, painting, and building things on their 5 acres of land. He also had a love for birds and his dogs. Lalo was an amazing son, husband, dad, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was loved by so many, and we will all miss him dearly. Please join us in the celebration of Lalo’s life at the Vineyard Santa Fe 1352 San Juan Dr. 87505 at 11:30 on Thursday, August 17, 2023.
