Larry Patterson, 71, passed away unexpectedly in his home on March 22, 2021 in Red River, NM.
Larry was born in 1949 in Anadarko, OK. His parents were James and Virginia Patterson. For most of his childhood, he was raised north of Clovis, NM on a family farm. After high school, Larry enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served two tours in the Vietnam War. He later returned to Clovis and married Teresa Patterson on August 5, 1978.
Larry is preceded in death by his father, James Patterson and his mother, Virginia Patterson. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Patterson; his children, Leslie (husband Lance) Anderson of Maxwell, NM; Cody Patterson of Clyde, NC; and Lacey (husband Adam) Gleaton of Clovis, NM; and many other family and friends too numerous to list but not forgotten.
Larry was a devoted husband, an avid fisherman, and the town comedian. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00am on Saturday, March 27th, 2021 at the Red River Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at a later date.
