Lawrance J. Hoover passed away on June 30, 2017, surrounded by his family. Mr. Hoover was preceded in death by his parents; David and Pauline Hoover, Daughters; Jessica and Annette Hoover, Mother of his children; Mary Jane Lopez-Hoover, Granddaughter; Madyson Jane Hoover, Paternal Grandparents; Jesse Hoover and Barbarita Lobato, Maternal Grandparents; Luis Baca and Tomasita Gutierrez, Niece; Judith Armijo and Nephews; Tim Armijo and David Craft. He is survived by his Daughter; Melissa Hoover-Fresquez and husband Dean, Son; Matthew Hoover and wife Tanya, Brother; Richard Hoover and wife Connie, Sisters; MaryAnn Armijo and husband Diego, Elizabeth Roybal and husband Benny. Grandchildren; Joey, Kathy Garcia, Sebastian and Carol Hoover, Anikka and Anna Maria Garcia, Anastasia Garcia, Marissa Chavez and husband Jose, Christian and Madilyn Hoover, Great-Grandchildren; Jazmeen, Isabella, Jeffrey, Jessica, Jerome, Jeremiah, Sonya, God-Daughter; Rochelle Lopez, Special Brother and Sister in Law; Leandro and Nancy Lopez. Many other special family and friends. Mr. Hoover was a Graphic Arts Teacher at the New Mexico Boys School in Springer, NM. He was the owner/operator of Sundown Printing Company. He was also the first Little League organizer in the community of Penasco, NM where he coached more than 60 kids with his three teams. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, July 6, 2017, 7:00 PM at San Antonio Catholic Church, Penasco, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 7, 2017, 11:00 AM, San Antonio Catholic Church in Penasco, Interment will follow immediately at Rio Lucio Cemetery. Carrying Mr. Hoover to his final resting place will be Rochelle Lopez. Honorary pallbearers; Francisco ”El Comanche” Gonzales, Ramon “Batman” Trujillo, Clara MacAuley, Cecilia Lopez, David Cruz, Jose and Cecilia Velarde and Family. The Hoover family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Rivera Family Funeral Home of Espanola, NM.
