Born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Lawrence was the second son of Susie and Secundino Quintana. From an early age, he was instilled with the values of hard work, faith, and service—qualities that guided every aspect of his life.
Lawrence proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he embodied the ideals of duty, discipline, and honor. After completing his military service, he continued that sense of responsibility and excellence throughout his career as a Quality Assurance Specialist at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
He shared over 50 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Angelina, creating a bond defined by love, laughter, music, and unshakable faith. Together, they raised a family rooted in care, culture, and community. He held the memory of his late daughters close to his heart. His love and legacy live on through his family.
A man of deep musical passion, Lawrence was the maestro of Juventud de Santa Fe, a youth music group dedicated to tradition, talent, and discipline. Through this role, he shaped not just musicians—but lives.
His devotion extended beyond music to his church and community. A devout Catholic and lifelong devotee of Our Lady of Peace, Lawrence was actively involved in numerous local organizations, including the Caballeros de Vargas, the Santa Fe Fiesta Council, La Unión Protectiva, and La Cofradía de Nuestra Señora de la Paz. Through these groups, he helped preserve and celebrate the vibrant cultural heritage of Santa Fe.
Lawrence’s legacy lives on in the music he inspired, the traditions he upheld, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
