Andrew (Leandro) Ortiz Sr. born October 23, 1952. Lifelong resident of Rowe, NM went to be with Our Lord November 3, 2021 with his wife, children, and grandchildren by his side. Andrew was one of the best Auto Body painters around. He co-owned Ortiz’s Body Shop for over 40 years. He retired in 2013 when his wife became ill, but continued to work on vehicles for family and friends all while being the soul caretaker for his wife. He worked very hard for his family until his last breath. He loved going for coffee every morning with his friends, and loved to go fishing, he loved to dance with his wife and kids. He never met a stranger and knew everyone by name. He was a true Denver Bronco fan and loved watching his games on the weekends. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play their sports and tried his best to make every game to cheer them on, he was a true family man always trying to bring everyone together. He loved playing on his tractor in the snow was excited every year for snow. Andrew is preceded in death by his father Ricardo Ortiz, his paternal grandparents Atilano & Amalia Ortiz of whom he lived with as a child, his brother Ernest Ortiz, his Padrino’s Jacinto Ortiz and Susie Varela. His maternal grandparents Macario and Ramona Ortiz. His in-laws Philip and Tessie Cardenas and Nikki Cardenas of whom he helped raise and Georgia Ortiz. His nephew’s Bernie Valencia, Steven Ortiz, and Adam Ortiz Jr. His great-niece Emma Gonzales, great-nephew Zack King, and numerous aunts and uncles. Andrew is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Linda Ortiz, his children Andrew Ortiz Jr. (Yolanda), Diana Ortiz-Acosta (Daniel), Danielle Ortiz (Carlos), Angela Ortiz (James), Stephanie Ortiz and Tanisha Ortiz. His grandchildren Leandro Ortiz Jr. (Anjelica) and Anna Gurule, his great-granddaughter Payton, and his mom Helen Ortiz. His honorary daughter Melissa Salazar and honorary granddaughter Taylor Martinez. His God children Carla Valencia, Melissa Gavin, and Philip Jiminez. His brothers, Joe Ortiz, Richard Ortiz (Stella), Donald Ortiz

(Sandra), Anthony Ortiz, and Adam Ortiz Sr. His sisters, Marie George (Robert), Diane Padilla (Timmy), Martha Ortiz, and Elizabeth Ortiz, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In honor of Andrew we are asking everyone to wear something representing the Denver Broncos for his funeral.

To protect Andrew’s family and all in attendance we ask that everyone wear a mask during the time they are visiting with the family and while indoors. If you have any Covid-19 symptoms please stay home.

Services to be held

1st Rosary will be recited on November 16, 2021 at Rivera Funeral Home 417 E. Rodeo Rd Santa Fe NM visitation will began at 6pm with Rosary to follow

2nd Rosary will be recited on November 17, 2021 at Sagrada De La Familia Church. Sagrada Familia Ln. Rowe, NM visitation will began at 6pm with Rosary to follow.

A Catholic Mass will be held on November 18, 2021 at 10 am at Sagrada De La Familia church in Rowe Burial to follow at the Rowe Cemetery.

In honor of Andrew we are asking everyone to wear something representing the Denver Broncos for the Funeral
