Lena Anaya

Lena Anaya – Age 41 a resident of Velarde, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2007. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved chasing after her grandson Alejandro Jose Chavez. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Endalecio and Adelina Rendon; uncles: Joe A. Rendon Jr. and Pete Rendon; aunts: Bennie War and Benedita Rendon.She is survived by her parents: Joe and Flora Martinez; children: Jeanelle Quintana and husband Joshua, Cindy Chavez and husband Monse and Danny Anaya; grandson who she loved dearly, Alejandro Jose Chavez; special friend and father of her children, Jose C. Anaya; brothers: Terry Martinez and wife Lenora and David Martinez and wife Geraldine; Very special cousins: Gracie McEachern and Gloria Miera; aunts and uncles: Louise Valdez, Cora Montoya and husband Mike, Jose S. Rendon and wife Angie, Horace Martinez and wife Gloria, Arthur Martinez and wife Darlene, Rosie Mascareñas all of Albuquerque, Armando Rendon and wife Lennette of La Villita, Salomon War and wife Maria Elena of Hernandez, Bernie Rendon, Albert Gonzales and wife Lucy, Elsie Rendon all of Velarde and numerous other relatives and friends who loved her dearly. A public visitation will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Monday, March 26, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Velarde Catholic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Gracie McEachern, Corinne Trevino, Darlene Valdez, David McEachern, Jr., Randy Rendon and Michael Montoya.
