Our loving Lord Jesus called our beloved brother, uncle, and friend home on Sunday, February 20, 2022.
As the sun set, Leopoldo Felix Moya “Leo” took his final soft breath after 92 years of giving love and inspiration to his family.
Leo is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Concepcion Moya and Andrea Griego Moya; Brothers, Carlos B. Moya, Larry A. Moya, Frank Moya, and Sister Angelina Moya.
Leo is survived by his loving sister Helen Moya Garcia; nieces and nephews Natalie Reyes (Jose), Ernestine Jones, JoAnn Ortega (Bob), Shirley Garcia, Marcos Garcia (Annette), Carlos Moya (Frances), Karla Moya Crites (Loren), Christina Vigil (Henry), MaryLou Trujillo (Anthony), Albert Moya, Frank Moya Jr, and Sisters-in-law, Cecilia Moya and Angie Barreras.
Leo was a lifelong member of the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In his younger years he worked for Douglas Aircraft in Santa Monica, California. He was a skilled carpenter and painter by trade. An avid bowler, he traveled the U.S. and Canada with his bowling team. He loved the horse races and was a sports aficionado. Leo lived his life to the fullest!

In his final days, we are grateful to the doctors, nurses, and chaplains of Christus St. Vincent Hospital.
A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 10:30 AM at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis, where mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment with full Military Honors will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Marcos Garcia, Jose Reyes, Bob Ortega,Gabriel Vargas, Dominic Reyes, and Christopher Jones. Honorary Pallbearers include Carlos Moya, Richard Martinez, Joe Maestas, Albert Wheeler, and Roberto Moya.
