Leonard Walter Kappen, 86, of Taos passed away on August 28, 2013. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Becker. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Kappen, sons, Keith Kappen (Pat), Kent Kappen, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held on September 4, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taos. Interment will be follow at 2:15 PM at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
