Leopoldo Martinez

Leopoldo "Leo" Martinez, 91, of Taos passed away on April 29, 2008. He was born on July 13, 1916 in Vadito to Sotero & Lucinda Martinez. He is survived by his children, Peter Martinez of LA, California, David Martinez of Las Vegas, Nevada, Anita Padilla (Gabriel Jeantete) of Taos, Rose Martinez (Gilbert), of Los Ojos and Mabel Anaya of Albuquerque. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 3 nephews and 2 nieces all from Salt Lake, City, UT. He served the community as Taos County Assessor, Taos County Deputy Clerk and Taos County Treasurer. Rosary was recited on May 1, 2008 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral Mass was held on May 2, 2008 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
