Leroy Holmes

Leroy P. Holmes, 70, resident of Santa Fe, passed away on January 4, 2022. He was born on November 29, 1951 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Tonie and Oliver Holmes. Leroy married Dora Grace Garduno in Taos on March 21, 1970.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Tonie and Oliver Holmes, son; Jerome P. Holmes, brother; Oliver J. Holmes, father-in-law and mother-in-law; Leonlino and Adela Garduno.

He is survived by his wife; Dora Grace Garduno Holmes, sons; Leroy Jr. and Marvin Holmes, daughter; Melissa S. Holmes, grandsons; David J. Holmes and Erik M. Sena, granddaughters; Victoria R. Holmes and Alyssa L. Sena, special uncle and aunt; Ernest and Mary Holmes.

Leroy attended S.F.H. where he received his journeyman electrical license In 1978. He worked at B.S.D physical plant as a manager II and retired in 1999.

Rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. at Rivera Kiva Chapel of Light located at 417 E. Rodeo, Santa Fe, NM.

Mass will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Cristo Rey.
