Leroy Martinez

Leroy Martinez, 58 a resident of Chimayo passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 3, 2016. Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his wife Theresa Martinez, son, Anthony Martinez, Mother, Mariquita Martinez, BrotherEscolastico Martinez. Maternal grandparents Proxcedes Martinez and wife Onofre. Grand parents, Esqipula and Teresita Martinez. Leroy is survived by his father, Orlando Martinez, Son Derrick Leroy Martinez, Beloved sister and caregiver Orlinda and companion Rocky, Sisters Lorraine and husband Ronald Martinez from Canjilon, Darlene and husband Johnny Trujillo. Brothers Jerry, and Ricky Martinez. Four grand-children and 2 great grandchildren, One very special nephew whom he raised as his own, Nicholas Griego, and numerous special nieces and nephews. The Family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all his caregivers, and nurses from the “Giving Home Health Center”, “Hospice”, and St. Christus Cancer Center for all their help, prayers, and visitations they extended to Leroy during this difficult time. A Rosary will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 9:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo, NM with the Funeral Mass following at 10:00 AM Arrangements have been entrusted to the Rivera Funeral Home of Espanola, NM.
