Leroy "Stanley" Gutierrez

Leroy Stanley Gutierrez, 70, resident of Bernalillo, passed away on January 02, 2022. He was born on August 5, 1951 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Bobbie and Santos Gutierrez. Leroy married Georgina in Albuquerque on January 29, 1972.

He is preceded in death by his wife; Georgina Gutierrez, parents; Santos and Bobbie Gutierrez,

father-in-law and mother-in-law; Julian and Rosemary Anaya, brothers; Sammy and Joey Gutierrez and sisters; Francis Lucero and Roseanne Mora.

He is survived by his sons; Manuelito, Julian (Melissa), Leroy, Roger, Anthony and Charles, daughter; Fredericka and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nephews, nieces and many other family and friends.

Leroy passed away after a long battle to cancer. He passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home. Leroy loved to sing and play the guitar. He played and managed a band for many years. Playing different styles of music like Spanish, Rancheras, Country and his favorite Oldies but Goodies. He would do anything for a laugh. Anyone that truly knew him, knew he had a big heart. He would give you anything even if it wasn’t his to give. Leroy could make you laugh even if you were mad at him. He was deeply loved and his family takes comfort in knowing that he is now at peace with the love of his life, Gina.

A Rosary will be recited at Our Lady of Sorrows in Bernalillo, NM on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.

Interment will take place on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Elks Lodge in Santa Fe.
