Lillie Dell Brown

Lillie Dell Brown – Age 86 a resident of Española, NM passed away peacefully in her home in Sombrillo on Sunday, May 7th, 2006 after a brief illness. Miss Lillie touched many lives with her friendly ways and Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her parents: William C. and Ruby Jacobs; brothers: Bo Jacobs and Burton Jacobs; sisters: Inez Whaley, Mary Lee Wesley, Mary Anna Blanton; and a grandson, Isaac Brown. She is survived by her son, Cecil Brown and wife Edith of Sombrillo; daughters: Patsy Moore of San Francisco, CA, Ann Hutchinson of Hollywood, CA, Carol Owen of Española and Linda Brown of Los Angeles, CA; brother, Amos Jacobs of Detroit, MI; sisters: Odesser Biddle and husband Harvey of Buckner, AR, Darlene Smith of Stamps, AR and Helen McKee of Phoenix, AZ; 12 grandchildren; special nephew, Ron Biddle and wife Flor of Albuquerque, NM; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous family and friends. A celebration of life memorial service will be held where she was a faithful member for over 50 years, Santa Cruz United Methodist Church in Española at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13th, 2006. Graveside services will be held privately. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to McCurdy School, the center of Lillie's life where she worked devotedly for 45 years.
