Linda Nelson

Linda (Kilby) Nelson age 79, resident of Angel Fire, NM passed away peacefully on February 3, 2019. Linda was born in Reading, England to the late Leonard & Edith (Andrews) Kilby. Her siblings are Joy O’Loughlin (sister) and the late Keren Kilby (brother). She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Nelson whom was the love of her life. They met on a chance encounter waiting at a bus stop, while he was stationed in England. After their courtship they were married and moved to the states. They made their home in Laverne, OK and Guymon, OK were she was a homemaker and florist at the Golden Crown. Following the passing of Johnnie she moved to Angel Fire, NM where she loved the aspen mountain views, Santa Fe Opera, and weekly outings to dine with her friends for the past 30 years. Together they had three children, JoAnn DeArmond (John), Johnnie Nelson III (Nancy), and Linette McKinley (Willie). Linda is preceded in death by daughter-in law Gloria and great-grandson Jasper Long. Linda had 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren: Amanda Cosner [Addison, Jessalyn, Josie, Joelton] Zack Cosner [Khai, Chasyn] Natalie Cosner [Aria, Chloe] Jonathan Walls Samantha Long and spouse, Timmy. [Kilby, Brody] Chelsey Buffa and spouse, Benjamin [Lily, Leah] Jared Person and spouse, Jessica [Brylie, Gavin] Bryce Mitchell spouse, Raquel [Kayden, Jaxson, Calvin] Ben Mitchell and spouse, Katie [Mason, Breelyn] Her family expresses their deepest gratitude to her caregivers and friends, Jairo & Norma Avitia and children.
