Lisa Kollman, of Los Alamos, NM, died at UNM Hospital on August 16, 2020 with her brother and husband at her side after experiencing a tragic fall. She was 58 years old.
She was preceded in death by her father, Victor H. Kollman, of Klamath Falls, Oregon. She is survived by her husband, Parks Fields; her mother, Kay Beinke Dunn; and her brother, Jay Kollman, all residents of Los Alamos; as well as her Uncle Jim and Marg of Wisconsin and her Uncle Gene and Jane Beinke of Iowa.
Lisa was born in Waterloo, Iowa on February 26, 1962. Her parents brought her to Los Alamos at the age of two and a half. Lisa started her waitressing career at the Philomena’s, then moving on to Kathern’s, the Old Blue Window, and then L.A. Cafe. In these places she learned to cook with the best chefs. She could tell what the taste of a recipe would be or what she needed to fix it just by reading it.
Later in her life, Silva Hush turned her on to her real love, pet-sitting. Lisa loved all animals. She knew when pets were sick and needed help. She named all the ravens and deer that visited her yard. She was a kind and gentle soul who cared deeply for her pet clients’ pets and all other animals.
Besides cooking and animals, Lisa loved music, cars, and traveling.
She will be deeply missed by her family and pet clients.
A private service will be held at Rivera Family Funerals & Cremations of Espanola. To honor Lisa’s memory, her family asks that donations be made to Land of Enchantment Wildlife Foundation. LEWF.ORG info@lewf.org or PO Box 957 Santa Cruz, NM 87567.
