Lois K Lockwood of Lamy, NM passed away peacefully October 17, 2018. She was born in Worcester, MA January 31, 1934, the daughter of Dr. Roger and Margaret (Moen) Kinnicutt. She attended the Bancroft School, Milton Academy and graduated from Vassar College, later earning a Master’s in Education from Boston University. Lois worked as the librarian at Shore Country Day School until her retirement when she moved to Lamy to pursue her passion for archeology, and the art of weaving and knitting. She volunteered for the Laboratory of Anthropology and many other archeological projects during her 24 years in New Mexico. Her family benefited from the numerous sweaters, socks, scarves and mittens, as well as rugs, runners and placemats. Many of her creations were sold through the Espanola Valley Fiber Arts Center. She is survived by her loving children, Rebecca S. Lockwood, Luke B. Lockwood, his wife Laurel, and Reginald K. Lockwood and grandchildren Claudia Lockwood, Luke Lockwood and Asher Lockwood. In accordance with her wishes, private services will be held in the spring at the Rural Cemetery, 108 Grove St., Worcester MA.
