Loraine Martinez

Loraine R. Martinez, 74, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family in Pecos, New Mexico on January 22, 2022.  Loraine was born on May 5, 1947, in the small mining town of Jerome, Arizona.

She was a homemaker and a mother of three and while in her older years she rarely enjoyed time out of her home, she did live through her children and was always curious about pastimes and where they were going or what they had done. She has six grandchildren when speaking to and of them she would always have a beautiful smiling heart. Often times you would find her sitting on a summer day on her porch listening to Elvis, CCR, and Spanish music playing loudly in the background. She will be greatly missed and the memories will never be forgotten by her family and friends!     

She was preceded in death by her husband Miguel Martinez, married 47 years, her parents Reyes and Martha Rico, her brother Rodney Rico and her nephew David Maes.

Loraine is survived by her children Mark Rico (Mona); Angela Cde Baca; and Michelle Valencia (Rey), her grandchildren who she loved and enjoyed Steven, Tara, Issac, Michael, Marco, Reynaldo and her sister Joan Tarango.

Honoring her wishes, there will be no services.
