Lorencita Lujan

August 18, 1937 — May 5, 2022

Lorencita “Lorrie” Lujan, 84, of Santa Fe, joined our Lord Thursday, May 5, 2022.  Lorrie was born on August 18, 1937 in Santa Fe, NM.  Daughter of Rafael and Ruby Ortiz.  She is now at peace with her beloved husband Larry.  Lorrie worked for the State of NM, was a member of the B.P.O. Does for 50+ years, she was a volunteer at the State Employees Credit Union for 36 years as a Board Member and Supervisory Committee Member. She was also a member of many other civic organizations.  Lorrie was an amazing Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother.  She always supported her family in everything her family was involved in.  She was our number one fan!

Lorrie was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Lawrence Lujan, two brothers, four sisters, two sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law.  She is survived by her daughter Kathy Encinias (Steve), Barbara Rael-Dimas (Robert), Sisters Tillie Montoya and Josie Griego, Sister-in-laws Josie Ortiz, Anita Griego (Michael) and Louise Hudson (Bus), Brothers-in-law Jeo Martinez and Jerry Lujan (Gladys).  Grandchildren Nicole Salazar (Jason), Felicia Sedillo, Jessica Sandoval (Jose), Nichole Encinias (Candace), Ruby Dimas, Roberta Ortiz (Michael), Great-Grandchildren Miranda, Denette, Larry, Charles, Dion, Ricky, Fabian D., Santi, Mario, Jose Jr., Fabian R., Isidro, Felicia R., Ayden and Jarryd.  Many nieces and nephews as well as many friends that were dear to her heart. 

Pallbearers will include Steve Encinias, Robert Dimas, Raul Griego, Thomas Griego, Roger Griego, Jason Salazar and Larry Sedillo.  Honorary Pallbearers are all her grandchildren. 

A rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at Cristo Rey Church. The funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Cristo Rey Church. Internment at the National Cemetery will be held at a later date. 

The Family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to everyone for their love, support and prayers during this difficult time.
