Loretta Martinez

Loretta C. Martinez, age 69, born April 25, 1955 and raised in Taos, NM who later resided in Santa Fe, NM unexpectedly passed away in her home on October 2, 2024 after a short battle with kidney disease. She was an exemplary, tenacious, and honorable woman who was kind to every person she met. Loretta is preceded in death by her daughters Pamela and Veronica Sealy, partner of 42 years Michael Sealy, mother Dolores Martinez, father Leon Martinez, sister Donna Martinez, and nephew Scott Sealy. Loretta is survived by granddaughter Felicity Sealy who her and Michael Sealy raised, granddaughter Calista Reyna, grandson Exavior Reyna, sister Brenda Martinez, brother Walter Martinez, cousin Gloria Velasquez, nieces Sonya and Santana Lopez, brother-in-law Patrick Sealy, and special loving family includes, Jason Sealy and Brooke, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Loretta graduated from Taos High School in 1973, then served in the armed forces, later received an associate’s degree in arts for Business Administration at the Santa Fe Community College in 2004 and finally retired from the State of New Mexico as an administrator and auditor after nearly 25 years. She was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to travel, especially to the beaches in Hawaii.

The funeral will be held on October 21st at Santa Maria De La Paz; 11 College Ave, Santa Fe,

NM 87508 at 10:30am and the burial will be held at a later date.
