Loretta S. Martinez

Loretta S. Martinez age 52 of Santa Fe, NM. passed away peacefully on Saturday October 17, 2009 after an ten year courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband Fernando Martinez, and parents Simon and Marcia Peralta. She is survived by her beloved children: Fernanda Martinez, Maria Martinez (fiance Max Vargas), Renae Atencio (husband Javier), Fernando Martinez (girlfriend Valerie Buttice) all of Santa Fe. Lorettas grandchildren include: Dominique, Angelina, Esperanza, Victoria, Maxie, Marcos, Manuel and Mateo, Fernando, Jr., Damian, Keyanna and baby Atencio. She is also survived by sisters Francella Martinez and Ana Peralta, brothers Simon Peralta (wife Linda) and Dennis Peralta (wife Matilda). Loretta has numerous nephews and nieces and other relatives. A special acknowledgement to Valerie Buttice for caring for our mother and to Pedro, Diane, Javier, Ralph, Julie Atencio and Olga Garcia for their support.Loretta retired as a human resources manager for the K-Mart corporation. A public visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6-7 p.m. at Santa Maria De La Paz Catholic Church on Richards Ave. in Santa Fe, followed by a recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. also at church with a reception immediately following in the parish hall. Following the reception a committal service will take place at RosarioCemetery.
